Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fracture in the Aged
Seo Jeong-Hwan

Abstract
Osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture is very common and serious disease, which not only increases death risk and thoracic kyphosis but also decreases height and respiration ability. A careful clinical evaluation and additional test procedures including laboratory study and radiologic imaging should lead to an adequate diagnosis. An early diagnosis and appropriate treatment such as immobilization, medication, brace, exercise, interventional injection, and kyphoplasty would be helpful for successful management.
